From Woody: "No one I ever knew loathed, or loved golf, more than Jackie. Along with his executive producer, Jack Philbin, world-famous personalities often joined these two men at Lauderhill's classy Inverrary Country Club, where Jackie and his very pretty wife, Marilyn, resided.
"...I must have been on Jackie's 'good guys' list for at times I was in his golf mix as often as three games a week. Some days I'd be in foursomes with Foster Brooks, Dale Robertson, Eddie Arcaro, Bob Donner, Joe DiMaggio, Norm Crosby, Dennis James, Bob Hope and others.    Jackie actually had his own private 'locker room' within the men's locker facility at the club;  here the golf (mis) matches were made; here we all returned after the games moaning  over missed putts.  Here is where the 'ice tea' (oh sure!), the 'lemonade' (yeah!), and 'soft drinks' (har de har har!), were served. And I dearly loved every minute of it. We all did. Jackie was, indeed, 'The Great One'."
